It’s seems like it’s a better game than I thought it would be and I thought it was going to be really good. So far, I’m amazed. Maybe the best looking game I’ve ever seen.

HI DERE: I did one race and I am already in love.

Jamescobo: Plays as pretty as it looks, which I mean: come the fuck on.

Ste: I really like it; I must admit I didn’t right away as I was a bit rusty with the trigger turning and that first track was pretty tricky, but it didn’t take long to get addicted to unlocking stuff. I just realized we’re now playing Wipeout with better graphics than from the original PS Wipeout FMV that everyone creamed over at the beginning of the first game.

John Justen: This game is my first actual moment of PS3 envy right here.

Antexit: This and Canabalt, best one-button games in years. Beautiful and ethereal and stoner-y and like nothing but itself.

Jamescobo: I pretty much love this. I’m not quite know sure how to talk about it without sounding like one of those Games As Art turds, but this game is so great and I apparently haven’t even gotten to the revelatory part yet (fortunately the game gives you a trophy for sitting at the start screen for 10 minutes, which is conveniently just enough time to write furious emails/posts to e-bros to get off they asses and buy this game NOW NOW NOW) that it may be unavoidable. It pretty much single-handedly justifies the purchase of a 1080p tv.

Forksclovetofu: PS3 showing up the Wii pretty badly here. Much better after a few drinks but don’t watch if someone else is playing; U WILL BE SICK.

Polyphonic: Cool interactive screensaver, bro.


Edgertor: Better in concept than execution, but still unusual and fun.

Webber : The game ended up being more linear than I hoped, but playing the first few levels where nothing can hurt you and there’s not much of a point was incredibly relaxing. More games that aren’t really games, please!

Developer Interview

Jeff LeVine: A very unique experience. I’ve certainly played no other game like it. The art, music, motion control and vibration worked together really well. As original as it is however, I just didn’t find it terribly compelling. There’s really not much game there. It’s also way fucking schmaltzy.
