CraigG: I spent a HUGE chunk of the start of the year playing this while taking the train back and forth between Newcastle and Edinburgh. I think they got the balance just right in this one; it’s much less complicated compared to the last Advance Wars game.

Will M: This game isn’t as ‘dark’ or ‘serious’ as people are playing up; some of the art is a bit more grown-up but it still has the same silly sense of humor underneath the whole post-apocalyptic setting. Some of the added units really piss me off, like the Anti-Tank which is indirect (like artillery) but can counter if attacked directly. Also, nothing does good damage to it, but it ruins EVERYTHING. Pretty much the only solution is bombers.

Abanana: Bikes are great, but I haven’t used the anti-tank much yet. Flares make fog-of-war stages much less luck-based. I beat the campaign although I had to look at a walkthrough for the last mission (it’s simpler than it seems, although you still need some luck). Anti-tanks are weak against infantry (BIKES). Still, they’re a lot better than small tanks, which cost around the same amount.

Creeztophair: Dual Strike was much better than this.
